`a cathode;

`an anode including an anodecurrent collector and an anodeactive material;

`a separator disposed between the cathode and the anode; and

`an electrolyte liquid in contact with the cathode and the anode,
`
`wherein:
`
`the cathode includes a cathode current collector and a cathode active material layer
`
`disposed on the cathode current collector[[;]].
`
`the anode includes a material capable of forming an alloy with lithium during charge[[;]].
`
`the cathode active material layer as a whole is in solid phase,
`
`the anode active material as a whole is in solid phase,
`
`the electrolyte liquid includes lithium ions and counter anions ofthe lithium ions[[;]],
`
`the electrolyte liquid contains at least one selected from the group consisting of
`
`phenanthrene, biphenyl, triphenylene, acenaphthene, acenaphthylene, fluoranthene, and
`
`benzyl[[;]].
`
`the electrolyte includes at least one selected from the group consisting of a cyclic ether, a
`
`glyme, and a sulfolane as the solvent thereof][;]], and
`
`the anode active material is disposed away from the anode currentcollector.

`2. (Original) The lithtum secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein

`the cyclic ether includesat least one selected from the group consisting of 2-
`
`methyltetrahydrofuran, tetrahydrofuran, 1,3-dioxolane, and 4-methyl-1,3-dioxolane.

`3. (Original) The lithium secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein
`
`the glymeincludesat least one selected from the group consisting of monoglyme,
`
`diglyme,triglyme, tetraglyme, and polyethylene glycol dimethyl]ether.

`the sulfolane includes 3-methylsulfolane.

`5. (Currently Amended) Thelithium secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein

`the anode active material includes Al|[[;]],

`a LiAl alloy is generated during the charge[[;]], and
`
`a composition of the LiAlalloy is at least one selected from the group consisting of LiAl,
`
`Li2Als, and LisAls.

`6. (Currently Amended) The lithium secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein

`the anode active material includes Zn[[;]].

`a LiZn alloy is generated during the charge[[;]], and
`
`a composition of the LiZn alloy is at least one selected from the group consisting of

`Li2Zns, LiZn2, Li2Zns, LiZna, and LiZn.

`7. (Currently Amended) The lithium secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein
`
`the anode active material includes Si[[;]].
`
`a LiSi alloy is generated during the charge[[;]], and
`
`a composition of the LiSi alloy is at least one selected from the group consisting of
`
`Li22Sis, Li13S14, Li7Si3 and LiwSivz.

`8. (Currently Amended) Thelithium secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein
`
`the anode active material includes Sn[[;]].
`
`a LiSn alloy is generated during the charge[[;]], and
`
`a composition of the LiSn alloy is at least one selected from the group consisting of
`
`Li22Sns, Li7Sn2, LiisSns, Li7Sns, LisSn2, LiSn, and Li2Sns.

`9. (Currently Amended) The lithium secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein
`
`the anode active material includes Ge[];]],
`
`a LiGealloy is generated during the charge[[;]], and

`a LiCd alloy is generated during the charge[[;]], and
`
`a composition of the LiCdalloy is at least one selected from the group consisting of
`
`LiCd3 and Li3Cd.

`11. (Currently Amended) Thelithium secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein

`the anode active material includes Bi[[;]],
`
`a LiBi alloy is generated during the charge[[;]], and
`
`a composition of the LiBialloy is at least one selected from the group consisting of LiBi
`
`and Li3Bi.

`12. (Original) The lithium secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein
`
`the separator includes at least one selected from the group consisting of a solid
`
`electrolyte, a gel electrolyte, an ion exchange resin membrane, a semipermeable membrane, and
`
`a porous membrane.

`13. (New) The lithium secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein
`
`the anode active material as a whole is separated from the anode current collector by the
`
`electrolyte liquid.
`
`i4. (New) The lithium secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein
`
`the electrolyte liquid contains at least one selected from the group consisting of
`
`phenanthrene,triphenylene, acenaphthene, acenaphthylene, fluoranthene, and benzyl.
`
`i5. (New} The lithium secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein
`
`in a charge state, a potential of the electrolyte liquid is lower than an equilibrium
`
`potential of the anode active material, and
`

`in a discharge state, the potential of the electrolyte liquid is higher than the equilibrium

`16. (New) The lithium secondary battery according to claim 1, wherein

`the anode active material is solidified with a binder including polyvinylidenefluoride,
`
`polypropylene, polyethylene, or polyimide.
