`MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO RESPOND TO COMPLAINT

`Pursuant to Commission Rules 210.13(a) and 210.l5(d) and Ground Rule 1.8, Proposed
`
`Respondent Creative Labs, Inc. (“Creative”) hereby requests that it be granted a brief extension
`
`of time to file its response to the Complaint. Neither Complainant Bose Corporation nor the
`
`Office of Unfair Import Investigations Staff oppose the motion.
`
`The time for serving an answer or other responsive pleading has not yet expired for any
`
`Respondent. Currently, pursuant to Commission Rules 210.13 and 201.16(d), Respondent
`
`Creative’s response to the Complaint is due on January 22, 2008 (answer date being the 19"‘ but
`
`due to federal holiday answer date is extended to first business day thereafter).
`
`Proposed Respondent Creative is working to provide the information necessary for an
`
`appropriate response to the Complaint. Additionally, Creative is exploring settlement with
`
`Complainant. Therefore, to potentially avoid the expense of preparing, filing and serving a
`
`response, and in the interests of maximizing efficiency as well as to promote judicial economy,
`
`Creative makes this request for a ten-day extension to, and including, January 29, 2008. The
`
`extension of the response date will not affect any other deadlines, including the target date, and
`
`should not prejudice any party.

`For good cause shown, Creative respectfully requests that the Motion be granted and that
`
`the due date for their answer or otherwise respond to the Complaint be extended to and including
`
`January 29, 2008.
