UNITED STATES INTERNATIONAL TRADE COMMISSION
`
`WASHINGTON, D.C.
`
`Before Honorable Charles E. Bullock
`
`Administrative Law Judge
`
`In the Matter of
`
`CERTAIN NOISE CANCELLING
`
`HEADPHONES
`
`
`
`Investigation N0. 337—TA—626
`
`COMPLAINANT BOSE CORPORATION’S UNOPPOSED MOTION FOR
`EXTENSION OF TIME TO RESPOND TO
`
`MOTIONS TO AMEND THE PROTECTIVE ORDER OF
`
`RESPONDENTS AUDIO-TECHNICA U.S., INC. AND
`PANASONIC CORPORATION OF NORTH AMERICA
`
`Complainant Bose Corporation (“Bose”) respectfully requests an extension of time up to,
`
`and including, Wednesday, March 12, 2008, for Bose to respond to the motions of Respondents
`
`Audio-Technica U.S., Inc. (“Audio-Technica”) and Panasonic Corporation of North America
`
`(“Panasonic”) to Amend the Protective Order. The ITC Staff Attorney assigned to this matter
`
`has indicated that he does not oppose the extension.
`
`On February 27, 2008, Audio-Technica filed a motion to amend the Protective Order to
`
`bar access of certain Bose counsel to Audio-Technica’s confidential business information
`
`(“CBI”). Panasonic filed a motion on February 28, 2008, largely adopting Audio-Technica’s
`
`memorandum and requesting that the Protective Order be amended to bar access of certain Bose
`
`counsel from all Respondents’ CBI. Bose’s response to Audio-Technica and Panasonic’s
`
`motions are due on March 10, 2008.
`
`On March 3, 2008, Respondent Phitek Systems Ltd. (NZ) (“Phitek”) also filed a motion
`
`to amend the Protective Order to bar certain Bose counsel from accessing CBI. Bose’s response
`
`to Phitek’s motion is due on March 13, 2008.
`
`

`
`Because Audio-Technica, Panasonic, and Phitek assert similar (although not identical)
`
`arguments in support of their motions, Bose requests additional time to prepare one, combined
`
`response to the three motions. Counsel for all Respondents have indicated that they do not
`
`oppose this motion. A proposed order is attached.
`
`Dated: March 7, 2008
`
`Respectfully submitted,
`
