`provided between control channels mapped to both ends of the system bandwidth, wherein each

`of the one or more frequency resources is of a fixed bandwidth and the one or more frequency

`resources are uniformly distributed in the frequency band according to the variable transmission
`
`bandwidth, and
`
`transmitting, in at least the first mode of operation, the one or more reference signals.

`circuitry, which, in operation, controls the process,

`at least one input coupled to the circuitry, wherein the at least one input, in operation,
