`
`The following is a quotation of 35 U.S.C. 103 which forms the basis for all obviousness rejections
`
`set forth in this Office action:
`
`A patent for a claimed invention may not be obtained, notwithstanding that the claimed invention is
`not identically disclosed as set forth in section 102, if the differences between the claimed invention
`and the prior art are such that the claimed invention as a whole would have been obvious before the
`effective filing date of the claimed invention to a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the
`claimed invention pertains. Patentability shall not be negated by the manner in which the invention
`was made.
`
`5.
`
`Claims 1-3, 7-8, and 17-18 are rejected under 35 U.S.C. 103 as being unpatentable over |wamura
`
`(US Pub No. 2007/0079123 A1, referred to as |wamura), in view of Zhu (US Pub No. 2018/0332471 A1,
`
`referred to as Zhu).
`
`Regarding claim 1, |wamura discloses,
`
`1. A mobile-related communication system comprising:
`
`a first information transmitting body; and (|wamura: [0021]; server)
`
`a second information transmitting body that performs wireless communication with the first
`
`information transmitting body, (|wamura: [0021]; a device or a client communicates with the server
`
`wirelessly)
`
`wherein at least one of the first information transmitting body and the second information
`
`transmitting body is a mobile body, (|wamura: [0031]; client can be a mobile unit)
`
`the first information transmitting body includes a first wireless communication unit, a first
`
`control unit connected to the first wireless communication unit, and a first optical communication
`
`unit connected to the first control unit, (|wamura: Fig. 1; [0026], [0029]; server includes a wireless
`
`interface, processor and the wireless interface can include an optical receiver)
`
`the second information transmitting body includes a second wireless communication unit that
`
`performs wireless communication with the first wireless communication unit, a second control unit
`
`connected to the second wireless communication unit, and a second optical communication unit that
`
`is connected to the second control unit and performs optical communication with the first optical

`
`communication unit, (|wamura: Fig. 1; [0034]; client similarly includes a wireless interface, processor
`
`and the wireless interface can include an optical transmitter that communicates with the server)
`
`|wamura does not explicitly disclose, however Zhu teaches,
`
`(1) the first control unit causes the first
`
`communication unit to acquire ID information of the
`
`second information transmitting body and an encryption key via the second
`
`communication unit
`
`and causes the first wireless communication unit to wirelessly transmit to the second information
`
`transmitting body a provision request for transmitting body-related information related to the second
`
`information transmitting body, (Zhu: Fig. 3A; [0060], [0062] step 303, wireless access point (WAP/first
`
`control unit) gets the ID of the wireless access point and session key from the authentication server
`
`(second information transmitting body). Step 304, the WAP then sends an ID authentication request
`
`(provision request) to the authentication server)
`
`(2) the second control unit causes the transmitting body-related information encrypted with
`
`the encryption key to be wirelessly transmitted from the second wireless communication unit to the
`
`first wireless communication unit on the basis of the provision request for the transmitting body-
`
`related information, and (Zhu: [0063]; WAP performs encryption by using the session key including
`
`hardware information of the WAP (body-related info) that is then sent to the authentication server)
`
`(3) the first control unit decrypts the transmitting body-related information received by the
`
`first wireless communication unit using the encryption key and acquires the transmitting body-related
`
`information. (Zhu: Fig. 3A; [0071] step 307, the authentication server decrypts the authentication
`
`information by using the session key)
`
`It would have been obvious to one ordinary skill in the art before the effective filing date of the
`
`claimed invention to implement the teachings Zhu of into the teachings of |wamura with a motivation to
`
`authenticate a wireless access point to an authentication server by establishing an encrypted wireless
`
`network connection including using a session key (Zhu abstract).

`Regarding claim 2, the combination of Iwamura and Zhu discloses,
`
`2. The mobile-related communication system according to claim 1,
`
`While Zhu discloses how the various information flows per claim 1, Iwamura further discloses
`
`the hardware arrangements that can be used as in,
`
`wherein the first information transmitting body includes a first manipulating unit connected
`
`to the first control unit, and when an input manipulation for requesting provision of the transmitting
`
`body-related information is performed through the first manipulating unit, the first control unit
`
`causes the first optical communication unit to acquire the ID information of the second information
`
`transmitting body and the encryption key and causes the first wireless communication unit to
`
`wirelessly transmit to the second information transmitting body the provision request for the
`
`transmitting body-related information. (Iwamura: Fig. 1; [0026], [0029]; server includes a wireless
`
`interface, processor and the wireless interface can include an optical receiver. Processor can have
`
`different units and functions that can control the flow of data using the wireless interface)
`
`Regarding claim 3, the combination of Iwamura and Zhu discloses,
`
`3. The mobile-related communication system according to claim 1,
`
`Iwamura further discloses,
`
`wherein the first optical communication unit and the second optical communication unit
`
`include a light source unit and a light receiving element unit. (Iwamura: Fig. 1; [0029], [0034]; infrared
`
`transmitter and receiver)

`
`can be a mobile unit. The mobility role can be reversed between the server and client) and
`
`While lwamura discloses the hardware arrangements per claim 1, Zhu further discloses the
`
`information flows as in,
`
`the first control unit performs operation control of the first mobile body using the acquired
`
`transmitting body-related information. (Zhu: [0074]; authentication server check whether the
`
`hardware information of the WAP is correct or complete and stores the session key corresponding to
`
`the ID of the WAP)
`
`The same motivation that was utilized for combining lwamura and Zhu as set forth in claim 1 is
`
`equally applicable to claim 7.
`
`Regarding claim 8, the combination of lwamura and Zhu discloses,
`
`8. The mobile-related communication system according to claim 1,
`
`While lwamura discloses the hardware arrangements per claim 1, Zhu further discloses the
`
`information flows as in,
`
`wherein the second information transmitting body is a second mobile body, and the first
`
`control unit causes the first wireless communication unit to transfer an operation request for the
`
`second mobile body using the acquired transmitting body-related information. (Zhu: [0078];
`
`authentication server after authenticating the WAP can exchange specific information acquired for the
`
`WAP)
`
`The same motivation that was utilized for combining lwamura and Zhu as set forth in claim 1 is
`
`equally applicable to claim 8.

`
`(lwamura: Fig. 1; [0026], [0029]; server includes a wireless interface, processor and the wireless
`
`interface can include an optical receiver)
`
`lwamura does not explicitly disclose, however Zhu teaches,
`
`wherein
`
`(1) the first control unit causes the first
`
`communication unit to acquire ID information of the
`
`second information transmitting body and an encryption key via the second
`
`communication unit
`
`included in the second information transmitting body and causes the first wireless communication
`

`
`information by using the session key including the hardware information of the WAP (body-related info)
`
`that is then sent to the authentication server)
`
`It would have been obvious to one ordinary skill in the art before the effective filing date of the
`
`claimed invention to implement the teachings Zhu of into the teachings of Iwamura with a motivation to
`
`authenticate a wireless access point to an authentication server by establishing an encrypted wireless
`
`network connection including using a session key (Zhu abstract).
`
`Regarding claim 18, Iwamura discloses,
`
`18. A second information transmitting body for using in a mobile-related communication
`
`system also including a first information transmitting body that is able to perform wireless
`
`communication with the second information transmitting body, wherein the second information
`
`transmitting body is a movable body and comprises: (Iwamura: [0021], [0031]; a device or a client
`
`communicates with the server wirelessly and the client can be a mobile unit. The mobility role can be
`
`reversed between the server and client)
`
`a second wireless communication unit that performs wireless communication with a first

`
`
`Application/Control Number: 16/004,406
`Art Unit: 2435
`
`wherein
`
`Page 9
`
`(1) the second
`
`communication unit transmits ID information of the second information
`
`transmitting body and an encryption key to the first
`
`communication unit and the second wireless
`
`communication unit receives a provision request for transmitting body-related information related to
`
`the second information transmitting body from the first wireless communication unit, and (Zhu: Fig.
`
`3A; [0060], [0062] step 303, wireless access point (WAP/first control unit) gets the ID of the WAP and

`Art Unit: 2435
`
`Page 10
`
`wherein the second control unit regularly changes the encryption key. (Hall: [0106]; session
`
`key can be changed)
`
`It would have been obvious to one ordinary skill in the art before the effective filing date of the
`
`claimed invention to implement the teachings of Hall into the combination of Iwamura, Zhu and Hall
`
`with a motivation to keep out compromised devices by changing the session key (Hall [0106]).
`
`Regarding claim 5, the combination of Iwamura, Zhu and Hall discloses,
`
`5. The mobile-related communication system according to claim 4,
`
`lwamura further discloses,
`
`wherein the second control unit includes a second storage unit, and the second control unit
`
`causes the changed encryption key to be stored in the second storage unit. (lwamura: Fig. 1; [0034];
`
`the processor can cause keys to be stored in memory)
`
`The same motivation that was utilized for combining Iwamura, Zhu and Hall as set forth in claim
`
`4 is equally applicable to claim 5.
`
`Regarding claim 6, the combination of Iwamura, Zhu and Hall discloses,
`
`6. The mobile-related communication system according to claim 4,
`
`lwamura further discloses,
`
`wherein the first control unit includes a first storage unit, and the first control unit causes the
`
`encryption key acquired by the first optical communication unit to be stored in the first storage unit.
`
`(lwamura: Fig. 1; [0026]; the processor can cause keys to be stored in memory)
`
`
`
`Application/Control Number: 16/004,406

`Page 11
`
`The same motivation that was utilized for combining Iwamura, Zhu and Hall as set forth in claim
`
`4 is equally applicable to claim 6.
`
`Allowable Subject Matter
`
`7.
`
`Claims 9-16 are objected to as being dependent upon rejected base claims, but would be
`
`allowable if rewritten in independent form including all of the limitations of the base claim and any
`
`intervening claims.
`
`The following is an examiner’s statement of reasons for allowance: the prior art made of record
`
`discloses all the limitations of the prior claims (see rejections above), none of the prior arts of record
`
`alone or in combination discloses a first and second notifying units or functions and receiving a first and
`
`second emergency action instructions, and how they work together in this mobile-related
`
`communication system.
`
`The prior art made of record, Iwamura, Zhu, or Hall, neither anticipates nor renders obvious the
`
`above recited combinations.
